Personal profile

Dr Dubovitskiy is an expert in automated digital image processing, machine learning and embedded control. He has worked in several computer science institutions and been involved in a number of interdisciplinary projects in image recognition with various applications in biology, pharmacology, material science and cancer diagnosis. He was coordinator and principal investigator in the EU project developing an eye-tracking software-hardware system, an architect-developer of an advanced computer system for blind people helping them to recognise products on shop shelves, an inventor and developer of the advanced optical system for detection and classification of skin and cervical cancer for NHS.

Research interests/expertise

My main research interests are the mathematical interpretation of natural objects with potential applications in interdisciplinary projects involving biology, pharmacology, physics, engineering and health care through the use of pattern analysis techniques such as Fractal Geometry and Fuzzy Logic. Investigating new algorithms of artificial intelligence with automatic machine learning and responsible decision-making.
