Yasir is an Advanced Specialist Pharmacist at the University Hospitals of Leicester and a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice for De Montfort Hospital. He is also the director of MicroPharm, MicroPharm is an online platform designed to provide high-quality medical education for trainee pharmacists and healthcare professionals.
Yasir trained as a pre-registration pharmacist in a community pharmacy and transitioned to a hospital pharmacy role as a cardiorespiratory admissions’ junior pharmacist. He was subsequently promoted to an on-call junior pharmacist role and rotated through several specialities including respiratory medicine, specialist surgery, geriatric medicine, general medicine and oncology.
In his current role, Yasir manages patient's with interstitial lung disease (ILD) in the outpatient ILD clinics and is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. Yasir is also a part of the Integrated Respiratory Care Team, providing a model of care to respiratory patients across hospital and community settings.
