Chris joined ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ in 2009 and is currently Associate Professor, BAL Faculty Student Experience.
His research and teaching interests include: Strategy and Organisation; The UK Financial Services sector; Insurance and Risk Management; Organisational Behaviour; Organisational Learning and Knowledge Management; Strategy and Emergent Media; Social Enterprise particularly in relation to Ethnic Minority Groups; and, Strategic Marketing.
Chris has extensive business and consultancy experience, and has worked on a range of projects that informed leading and blue chip organisations within the City of London (including HSBC, HBOS, AVIVA, Scottish Widows, Royal Bank of Scotland, the Prudential, Nationwide and Barclays), consumer and campaign groups (including Citizens Advice Bureau, Personal Finance Education Group, Which, the Campaign for Community Banking Services and the Consumer Credit Counselling Service, Joseph Rowntree Foundation) and policy makers (including HM Treasury, the Department of Work and Pensions, The FSA and the Financial Ombudsman Service); and, law makers (notably The UK House of Commons Trade and Industry Committee’s Progress Towards the Knowledge Driven Economy Report).
Chris’ current research is on the implication of space for organisational learning and tacit knowledge, and how these can be leveraged as sources of sustainable competitive advantages. He is also especially interested in the breakdown of communities at work. In addition, Chris has research interests in the behaviour of consumers and their predicted purchase intentions.
